The first mock crash sponsored by the Cokato Dassel Rotary Club almost went off without a bang if it had not been for an actual, real-life accident that occurred just west of the high school only seconds before the emergency personnel were to come to the mock crash site. The annual STRIVE banquet honoring the 12 students in this year’s program was well attended. The three students who improved their GPAs the most and therefore were awarded Rotary scholarships including Wyatt LaBaww who received the $1,000 scholarship, Emily Silge received a $600 scholarship, and Chris Smith received the $400 scholarship.
